PM signs ruling on auctions for 3 gas fields in Western Siberia

MOSCOW, Jun 20 (PRIME) -- Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a ruling auction the Verkhnetiuteiskoye, Zapadno-Seyakhinskoye, and Shtormovoye fields in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, the government said in a statement on Tuesday.

The first auction will be held for a license to explore and develop a subsoil site that includes the Verkhnetiuteiskoye and Zapadno-Seyakhinskoye fields with reserves of oil amounting to 1.724 million tonnes under the C3 category and reserves of natural gas reaching 206.407 billion cubic meters under the C1 category, 103.5 bcm under the C2 category, and 572.536 bcm under the C3 category.

The initial payment for the site amounts to 5.841 billion rubles.

The second auction will be held for a subsoil site that includes the Shtormovoye field. Reserves of the site include 1.865 bcm under the C1 category, 6.06 bcm under the C2 category and 572.536 bcm under the C3 category. The initial payment for the site stands at 945.17 million rubles.

Earlier in June, Vsevolod Cherepanov, a member of the management board of Russian gas giant Gazprom, told reporters that the company may participate in the auction for the Verkhnetiuteiskoye and Zapadno-Seyakhinskoye fields.
